Water Filtration Plant

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass.

Examples are: water filtration

  1.  oil filtration
  2.  air filtration
  3. pool filtration

Materials

1. bottle
2. sand
3. pebbles
4. dirty water
5. paper
6. cup

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

Cut the bottle..... to the size that you prefer

Step 2

Put the top half upside down ....... on top of the bottom of your bottle

STEP 3

Add layers of .... sand paper and pebbles that is given to you from your teacher

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water ....... and put as much as you prefer in to the top of the bottle.

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into the ...... bottle and watch it transform at the bottom
Findings

Write a short sentence about the water every 1 minute.
Include 'How much water has filtered through', 'How fast it is dripping through', and 'How clear the water is'.

Minutes                          1.                         2.                   3.                    4.                       5.
Drops per minute: 15 minutes/ 20 minutes
Water colour: a little bit brown
Conclusion: what we learnt today is how filtration works and the 4 examples of filtration such as air filtration which is commonly known as air conditioning. the next type of filtration is oil filtration which is used in car engines. the third type is pool filtration which takes all the chlorine and makes the pool really clean. the fourth one which is the last filtration is water filtration which makes the water clean so us humans can drink it those are the 4 examples of filtration.
