Maths

Hello everyone today I will be telling you what we did from this week and how we did it :D! Hurumanu 6

First we did a Pie chart with Mr Mitchell. He showed us how to do it and what we need to do. The first thing that Mr. Mitchell told us is we have to make up our own story for the Pie chart and we start of our story as a girl on how she spent $100.00 from the fare. Me and my friend made a pie using 10 slices to make the Pie chart. We took half of the pie and on half of the pie she spent's it on clothes we took 5 slices of the pie so it cost $50.00 then she spent it on food we took 3 slices of the pie and it cost $30.00 and last she spent it on poster we took 2 slices of the pie and it costed $20.00. We add them all together and it all costed $100.00. If you don't know what a Pie chart looks like, it should look like this :D!Image result for pie chart

A Pie chart can be any different colours and also different types of writings that you put in from half of the Pie chart and the other half from it!

Well being act of Kindness and Spiritual

Act of Kindness!

Hello everyone today I will be talking about why is kindness so important and why we should all do it and what is spiritual well being all about. Kindness is so important because there is so many people who can't do it and just do something bad and don't even care. If you do something kind you will get something back in return, its not only humans that you need to be kind of you could also do something nice to animals! like feeding them when they need food, giving them a drink when they are thirsty, and also comforting them! even dangerous animals that needs help even if they are feisty and also quite mean. So you see when you help someone it can also make your day and get something back in return :D! Spiritual means the values and the beliefs that determine the way you live, having purpose in your life, personal identity, self awareness, kindness- believing in treating others the way you want to be treated and your goals, values, beliefs, customs, religion, culture and dreams! It also means experiencing the things that you haven't mostly done and trying your best :D! The random of kindness that I did was helping my grandma to feed the guinea pigs and putting them back inside.

Thank you all for reading this I hope you learnt something from it have an awesome day :3!

The History Of New Zealand

The History Of New Zealand

Hello! my name is Liyah, and This is my first blog post of 2020. Today I will be talking about The History Of New Zealand and how the Moriori became Maori people.
It all started when they were sailing on different islands and different countries. The person who spotted New Zealand is Abel Tasman he found it because of the giant octopus that were stealing their fish and James Cook named it Aotearoa which means in English New Zealand, The Maori people came from Indonesia or South Asia The Moriori are the same DNA as the Maori people

The Moa gone extinct because the Maori people eat a lot of them and the Moa only lay an egg up to 1-2 a YEAR that's why they extinct pretty quickly and don't have much of them. They arrived in New Zealand in several waves of waka (canoe) voyages somewhere between 1320 and 1350. The maori people got their food by killing fish and hunting for animals and making things to catch animals.

Thank you all for reading this I hope you learnt something from here :D! Bye have a nice day!

Hurumanu Maths Reflection

Hurumanu Maths Reflection.

For the past few week we have been doing Telly chart, Bar graphs, and Frequency chart.
What we did in Telly chart is counting how many coloured cars outside that past us and we put a point down on on each coloured cars that we see for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we count how many colours of each car is, then after we count how many colours of each car is we add them up of how many cars that we got and the total that we got is 147.

What we did in Bar graphs is we count up how many coloured cars has the most or lowest colour that we got. there were 6 colours and 1 other different colours. We used markers so that it will be easy to put down how many colour of cars we have. We lined up of how many amount of coloured cars we have and we put down 7 letters at the bottom then we write down the name of the colours at the bottom of the 7 letters as well.

For the Frequency chart, we just counted the amount of the cars that we got from outside our school.

That's all we did from Maths and they were pretty easy and ill show you the pictures from each of them :D!

This is the Bar graphs.
